No age differences? No problem

In this essay we argue that the over-reliance on age effects in field of developmental psychology belies attention to actual development, obscuring processes. We use examples from diverse content areas psychology, such as narrative and autobiographical memory, personality trait Piagetian conservation tasks, pubertal timing, Dynamic Systems Theory build argument. conclude by arguing focusing individual differences cultural historical context major mechanisms processes will provide a fuller richer understanding complexity human development.
